Creekside Coffee, Skaneateles, NY

Corner of Fennel and Kelly Streets

A cup of coffee and a good book is one of life’s simple pleasures.  Creekside Books and Coffee has both under one roof and a relaxed attitude about browsing. It is located on the corner of  Kelly and Fennel Streets in Skaneateles , across from the local grocery.

I discovered the coffee shop when I was “called” back into the office during a summer vacation. They offer free internet and the air conditioned comfort with 2 levels of seating made it easy to get my work completed and sent via the internet, while enjoying a fruit smoothie , or a cup of joe. The quiet comfortable atmosphere does not hurry you out the door.

Since those early working days, Creekside has expanded to include beer and wine, with live music several evenings a week. The café remains busy early in the morning ‘til late at night.

Wander across the hall to the bookstore and prepare to lose an hour happily browsing. Books are grouped as new books, best sellers and staff favorites. There is a generous children’s section with toys and books.

No summer vacation is complete without a good read and Creekside will help you and everyone in the family find that special escape.
